PROLOGUE
We, at Anand and Anand, feel that it is important to pause, look back and introspect despite the heat of action
one may be in. We believe that it is important to write. To write from a less invested and a more critical lens.
To do justice to IP. Because a moment of truth is often latent in the most mundane of all the moments. Because
it’s often later in the day that one realises how defining the moments in the beginning were.
A shattering event can be one breath taking mosaic of the battles fought, in retrospect. Ultimately, it shapes the
law and sets a new precedence. And it is the nuances in every turn an event takes that counts in the end. The
editorial team of the Patents department at Anand and Anand has tried to encapsulate these little junctures
along the way in the Patent space.
With this thought, we present to you with great pleasure the third edition of Patent and Designs Rewind 2016.
